For process engineering and larger networked production plants, it is of utmost importance to collect and evaluate global process and plant data in order to quickly identify potential risks and hazards or to carry out optimizations.

By using modern, scalable systems that can be individually adapted to the customer, it is possible to record and process plant data, carry out optimizations and detect and avoid errors at an early stage.

In the age of Industry 4.0, it is now necessary to do more than just automate and visualize plants. It is necessary to draw conclusions about the process or production based on the recorded data and to take appropriate measures. This can be done by manual intervention, but also automated. This serves on the one hand for optimization, but also for error minimization.

Systems integrated in the process control system (MES) can control plant management in production (also across plants), which ensure an increase in quality and complete documentation of the production process and reduce the training times of employees or allow less qualified personnel at the individual work stations.
